In my family we use small cloth spice bags when cooking. I always thought that was a waste. This stainless steel capsule is a great smart idea! I like the idea of being able to reuse it without being responsible for the waste. I cook a lot of stews and this is perfect for that. I use different spices like cinnamon, fennel, cardamom, cloves, anise and peppercorns. Nobody wants to bite one of them, so this is perfect. The pod is big! A lot fits in, the silicone cable is not long enough. I don't think I really need it because I can just scoop this pod out with a ladle. The lid is actually harder to close than I thought. I'm not sure if the strap also helps keep the lid from loosening and opening, but so far it hasn't accidentally opened.
