This is a plastic cage with an unusual design - instead of being symmetrical the hole is on the right hand side. That's a good thing, because since the holder is built into the main triangle, it's difficult to lift the bottle straight with the top tube getting in the way. So pulling the bottle to the right is good, although it gives an advantage to those who pull the bottle with the right hand. I'm left handed and that's no problem, but I still take the left one, remember, and then change hands. However, I think it would be better than cracking my knuckles or dropping a bottle if I don't have a strong grip. The cage is plastic and appears to work well but feels cheap. Fingers crossed that it's durable and lasts a long time. It includes screws and a hex key, and I have some concerns that the screws don't have a great deal of contact with the plastic. The cheap impression isn't helped by the terrible water bottle that comes with the kit. The top of the water bottle has a rotating nozzle, hard and small. It's difficult to open, despite the hard latch at the top. The protrusion is too small for large hands and the attachment is too hard for small hands. It's not very painful, but uncomfortable enough that I wouldn't choose it unless it came with a cage.
