This is good for those who want a good thin waterproof layer under the sheets. It's a very thin top layer of soft, breathable fabric that's glued to a very thin layer of plastic. The plastic is soft and flexible, which helps reduce rustling. It should do the job of maintaining a strong moisture barrier as long as there are no cracks and the plastic remains intact. The sides of the cover are made of elastic mesh, suitable for mattresses of different depths. Be careful when drying in the dryer. If you have a "down only" setting with no heat this works best, otherwise choose the lowest heat setting and only for a few minutes. Line dry if possible. This keeps your mattress dry.
