I have several of these fences. I don't use the plugs that came with it. I use 1.5" velcro to attach them together so they can be easily folded when I don't need them. If I need extra strength I just add a dowel section or equivalent to 2 sections of tie down fence and this strengthens the fence properly and can still be stacked. But a dog is 7.5 inches tall and weighs just over 3 pounds. Another dog is 4 pounds and 9 inches. Both animals have a gentle nature and they don't want to get off. In fact, one of them will come in the middle of the night and tell me if I forget to close it. However, they are not suitable for large puppies or climbing dogs. This fence makes climbing up easier, but also allows the dog to easily run through the grounds and potentially break a leg by hanging. I advise you to look for practice pens. I bought them in sizes from 18 to 42 inches depending on my dog at the time. They come in 8-2 foot sections. The exercise handles are great as they can be connected and attached together when needed and are very durable. I currently have 3-18"H exercise pens in my yard, secured behind my back door. Using my house as a site gives the dogs a 12 x 24 foot space to run and play. I can just add a fence to make it bigger if I want.
