Looks perfectly acceptable as a temporary jockey wheel. The instructions were very basic, but the logic made them largely unnecessary. It took me about 3 minutes to figure out how to use the square washer, but once I did it made sense. But I'm sending it back. And to keep other people out of trouble. The product and probably all jockey wheels will be attached to the axle nut. On my son's bike, after removing the axle nut and installing the jockey stay, there was no "thread" on the axle to install the washer. and the axle nut back. If you look at your bike and find that the axle behind the axle nut does not have at least a 3/8" thread, you basically cannot use this product.
