Yes, and they worked well. It's also a great kids project. Take a cardboard tube of oatmeal, a plastic container, and stretch out one of those feathers. The plastic container forms the membrane. The screen makes it vibrate, creating a thundering sound against the walls of the oatmeal cylinder. With the spring extended and hanging down, hold the oatmeal cylinder and wiggle it. Voila! Have fun with it. The execution takes about 10 minutes. See YouTube for more instructions.
