Very strong little spring.

My dog opens my back door and comes in whenever he wants, but he left the door wide open and I kept jumping up to shut it. I put one of those springs on the bottom of the door and now it closes when it comes in.

Great for RV screen doors

I am pleasantly surprised at how well they work on my RV screen door. They close the door steadily without "slamming" it. Many times I've gotten in and out of our van carrying something that makes it difficult to close the screen door. These springs solved the problem. I recommend them.

I hate RV bugs

How did I live without this for so long? Whether it was careless kids letting the bugs in or my hands busy carrying food to the outside grill, the screen door was a constant nuisance. My husband scolded me when I told him I ordered this. When it arrived I installed it myself. Now we all love it. I only used one of the springs and it gently pulls the door back and latches. Two for the price of one!

They make big thunder machines!

Yes, and they worked well. It's also a great kids project. Take a cardboard tube of oatmeal, a plastic container, and stretch out one of those feathers. The plastic container forms the membrane. The screen makes it vibrate, creating a thundering sound against the walls of the oatmeal cylinder. With the spring extended and hanging down, hold the oatmeal cylinder and wiggle it. Voila! Have fun with it. The execution takes about 10 minutes. See YouTube for more instructions.

Nice set of door closers

I have two doors that gave me problems. One would not stay open (bathroom) and the other would not close (back door). As for the bathroom, when the door was closed people thought someone was there when in fact it was empty. The back door was left open for anyone getting in or out and didn't close the door manually and bugs got in or my dogs got out. After looking at more expensive closers I decided these were the only springs I needed. The easy installation and simple design mean fewer things…

cheap reliable door closer perfect

springs only do one thing, they close the screen door, they do not control the closing speed or the locking speed. I tried a spring first and found that keeping the door ajar when it wasn't locked was not enough. The two springs and the door actually follow you when entering and ensure a quick closing from any position when exiting. Also, be sure to install the springs so they don't touch any part of the frame or door, or you'll end up with a buzzing rattle. The 9 inch size is perfect. I tried…

Works well on my 2003 Trail-lite

I installed one of these springs on the underside of the door. As others have said, I seem strong enough to close the door without slamming it. If you hold the door open just a few inches, it won't latch. But when you open it, as if going out, it closes tight and the latch snaps. I think that installing a second spring will cause the door to slam too hard. But it's good to have a second pen in case you need it. I installed it on the outside of the screen door (where the hinge attaches) using an

The instructions can be confusing. I did it that way.

I didn't even want to review these nibs - almost everyone is already saying how cool they are. And I can now assume that "Door shut!" is heard much less frequently when my son gets in or out of the motorhome. But I decided to include my 2 cents because of the instructions. Others have commented that the instructions are bad - and I think they are. I struggled until I stopped matching instructions to pictures (which confused me). Then it got pretty easy. The main thing I needed to understand was
