As the author of Jefferson Airplane "Take Me To A Circus Tent", a former radio disc jockey and music collector, I am often asked to write or discuss various tape recordings. as well as records from the 60s and 70s. Maxell XL2 and XL2S have long been the standard for all chrome trim (position 2). Long-term reliability is excellent, as is original quality. I have used thousands of Maxell tapes over the past three decades and have never been disappointed with their audio or video tapes. For best performance, please keep the tape heads clean. . If this is not the case despite an excellent product, you will hear a dirty sound when playing. For music recording, Maxell's chrome band will exceed the expectations of the harshest critics.
