When I bought it I was concerned about the wiring. The wiring diagram for this cable only shows standard cables (tail light, turn signals and brake lights). I needed a "hot" wire to power my "tow truck charger" and didn't want to run an extra wire to power it. Upon receipt, I connected it to the camper and checked the voltage at the output. All functions (taillights, turn signals, brake lights) worked as expected and there was a "hot" wire from the camper. There is also extra space for another entrance if I wish/need. It was a little more money than I would have spent wiring it myself, but the look and feel of the "coil" were factors that convinced me to purchase.
