I was looking for a suction cup and magnetic mount for my Nexus 7 (2013) but couldn't find one strong enough (I have a 290g wifi model). This mount could hold it up, but I didn't really trust it with things like sudden stops or potholes. The suction cup is strong enough but the magnet is not. It holds my leather backed LG G4 very well so I wanted to give the mount a 4 star rating. tires again. I'm almost there. When I removed the rubber, which came off very easily, I found 4 small magnets stuck to the bracket's metal plate. I had several large, strong magnets at home and was able to mount six of them on a plate. After that I tested the mount on my tablet and it worked great. I have all the grip and holding power I need and now I can use this mount exactly how I want. The only possible downside to this change I made is that the rubber cap no longer fits. It doesn't matter to me because I have a rugged case on my Nexus, but it might be an issue for others trying to reproduce my setup. but my order history shows them as: 10 neodymium magnets 1/2 x 1/8 inch disc N48 Above says I used six magnets but my picture only shows five. After taking the photos I realized I could probably fit the sixth one in, and in fact it fits well.
