Does not decompose in chlorinated water

I have been using sponge/Scotchbrite for years but they disintegrate after use with chlorinated water. These pads work just as well and last much longer. They seemed a little hard to me when I first opened the packaging, but as soon as I put them in water they softened and were easy to use. I highly recommend them for dishes and general cleaning.
