I tested this surge protector after I received it and I really like it. Some of the features I like over other cables are: 1) Super long 6 foot cable - most other surge protectors have a cable that is too short 2) Charging speed of the USB ports on both 3) Connector orientation - The orientation of the connectors according to bottom allows you to connect the longest transformers without blocking other outlets; that is quite helpful. Most other surge protectors have their plugs outward-facing, causing some transformers to block multiple outlets. While I haven't tested the surge protector during a power outage, it looks very well made and well designed.
