Review on πŸ“Ί Antronix MRA4-8 - 4-Port Cable TV/Antenna/HDTV/Internet Digital Signal Amplifier/Booster/Splitter with Passive Return, Coax Cable, F59 Terminators by James Ramirez

Amplifier works well and includes all components for installation

In short, I would buy this product again because it's inexpensive and does exactly what it's designed to do - distribute TV signals to multiple TVs without signal loss. After reviewing all antenna boosters to support 4 TVs, I settled on this one. The reason for my choice was the price, and the kit included all the necessary components for a full installation, including 75 ohm terminators for the unused outputs. This amplifier works well and all TVs receive a strong signal from an antenna on the roof. The antenna picks up all the major networks and now we can distribute this signal to all the TVs in the house in each room via the existing coaxial cables in the wall. Note. This amplifier is not suitable for outdoor/unprotected areas. That wasn't my selection criterion, as all components except for the antenna are inside. Also, use good quality coaxial cable for all connections - quad shielded RG6 cable is recommended as this eliminates interference and signal loss on longer connections. After all, this amplifier is not and should not correct a bad signal from an antenna.

Pros
  • Four port amplifier with passive return provides +7.5dB of gain per port. Reduces snow and eliminates image pixelation with digital cable, amplifies antenna signals (OTA) for transmission to multiple TVs. May improve cable modem performance. Can improve HDTV reception.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
