I had a clear case on my NEW Nintendo 3DS and it fits perfectly. It covers the parts I don't want to scratch or damage. It also allows kids to put stickers on the body rather than the device itself. All of this together helps increase the resale value of the NEW 3DS should I ever want to resell it. The sides of the plastic are not sharp and feel good in the hand. The plastic isn't slippery, but it's not sticky either. (I made the sticky side on the bottom so it doesn't slip when I put it on the table.) I don't take the case off and on often, so it keeps its shape and doesn't fall off the 3DS (Let's face it, it's plastic and if you take it off and on enough times it'll definitely come off eventually, but I can't confirm that because I don't want to try. I bought this with my own money.) I like this case because it is transparent and can see my 3DS color. I recommend the case to protect the NEW 3DS.
