First time purchase: easy to navigate, comes with a small 6 page booklet with simple instructions. uses two AAA batteries. I love the remote control. I didn't have an AAA battery and turned it on manually by holding the power button down after plugging in the yellow USB connector, which I like because among all the other cables I've plugged into the outlet, the yellow color stands out and easy to distinguish. As soon as I turned it on, it started reading beautifully. All languages included work great and the translation is very good. I just received this afternoon April 3, 2021.
