Sharpens the dullest blades like new
This is an amazing sharpening stone when it comes to kitchen appliances, you get what you pay for. I use this stone professionally and started going to the guy to sharpen and sharpen all of my kitchen knives. I have found that the wooden stand is more for decoration than actual use. You need to know how to hold and position the knife properly when working with stone. It's not foolproof and you can destroy your knives if you don't know what you're doing.
