excellent protection for accessories and consumables

I did a little research and found that conventional surge protectors of all major brands have quite high clamping voltages. From HowStuffWorks.com; Tom Harris - http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/everyday-tech/surge-protector7.htm Voltage - this tells you what voltage is causing the MOV to conduct current to the ground wire. A lower clamping voltage indicates better protection. All those $30-$50 Belkin surge protectors - basically, most plastic case surge protectors have a clamping voltage almost double this device - 250-500V. This device has a clamping voltage of 140V. Higher voltages of 300-500 can easily destroy more sensitive electronics. To my knowledge they also offer better filtering with separate sockets/blocks and better circuit breakers which could potentially allow a device to be reused after a shock - other devices are often useless after a splash. Correct me if I'm wrong. The body is made entirely of metal. You can't get a better combination of quality and protection for the price Revain offers. They are definitely worth the extra cost. I replaced my home theater with HT10DBS and everyone else with their ISOBAR8ULTRA. I have not tested the cable or phone security ports as many have claimed degraded quality - I can neither confirm nor deny their results. With all the expensive electronics these days - why not spend a little more to protect your investment and avoid the hassle of having to go through any sort of replacement/insurance through surge protection plans. NOTE: HOW ANOTHER HELPED ME WITH AN EXPLANATION IN YOUR REVIEW - RECEIVE THIS AGAINST. AVBAR10 IS USUALLY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HT10DBS, COST LESS ON AMAZON AND OFFERS BETTER FILTERING.
