The description says "Material: SUS304. stainless steel material. Galvanized / Polished. I should have known better. There is no point in applying a zinc coating if it is already 304 stainless steel as it is NOT stainless steel. In the photo it looks like typical stainless steel, but that's definitely a chromed look of sheet zinc. I use a lot of equipment in my work and it's zinc plate instead of regular steel. Yes, the magnet is strongly attracted to them, while stainless steel is weakly or not at all attracted. Love the design, size and ease of installation just disappointed that they are not stainless steel as advertised. I wasn't expecting as the type of screw required depends on what you are attaching it to.
