These slides are made of plastic. Some of them are slightly deformed, and almost all have bubbles and slight distortions in the sample area. It's definitely not top quality. You definitely get what you paid for. Despite this, my kids still love them. It's still fun to look at patterns and still learn more than just how to operate a game console. If I had bought them for myself or for teenagers I would return them. But my 9 and 10 year olds are not experienced enough to take care of it. If you're buying them for a small, inexperienced kid, they're still fun. If you're buying these for someone experienced with microscopes, don't waste your time or money. The item arrived on time and in excellent condition.
