One of the screws on my MacBook could not be undone - the last one, of course. The screwdriver stripped this screw and broke itself when I tried to unscrew it. This meant I couldn't remove the bottom cover to solder the legs. Also, 9 screws were removed that I couldn't put back. Luckily, this kit included extra (non-Apple) screws that fit into the standard Philips-patterned holes on the bottom of the case. I was able to replace them with a precision screwdriver I had at home, but I didn't like plugging other manufacturers' hardware into my machine. In any case, according to the instructions, you can skip the heat sealing step and just apply glue to the bottom of the legs, but after all this trouble, I've found that they won't fit the 2012 MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina computer. to have. It was a waste of time and money, but more importantly, I could damage my computer if I try to remove the case with a cheap screwdriver.
