I feed the critters that visit my garden long before I had a cat. Since it seemed unsportsmanlike to invite little boys into my yard just to let a predator loose on them, I decided when the cat could go outside and wanted a collar with a bell that would clearly warn them of danger. was near. However, the bell that comes with it is so ridiculously useless that I would find it ridiculous if I didn't pay more than ten bucks for the stupid thing. Even if you hold it to your ear and shake gently, moderately or vigorously, NOT A SINGLE SOUND IS HEARD. I know there's something in there because I can feel it rattle, but no bird or animal my cat tries to take advantage of from this nonexistent "alert" can benefit. Shipping so I just have to spend more money to find a bell that IS a bell and replace the useless decorative ball they call a bell on that stupid collar.
