Review on ๐Ÿคฟ Scubapro Frameless Mask: Unmasking Seamless Vision Underwater by John Ford

Fogging problem New condition

I love diving with these Scubapro frameless goggles, but I had a serious fogging problem on the first 3 dives I've done with them. I am an experienced diver with over 80 completed dives. I know how to prep a mask so it doesn't fog up. Every method I tried with this mask was unsuccessful on my first few dives. I washed the mask with dish soap before use. Just before my first dive, I sprayed the inside of the mask with a popular snorkel anti-fog agent and quickly rinsed the mask off. I noticed that the anti-fog spray solidified on the glass of the mask and did not spread. Obviously there were still residues on the mask, which affected its function. By repeating the process, I was finally able to enjoy my fourth dive of the trip without encountering the fog problem. Scubapro does not provide instructions with its product or on its website for the correct preparation of the lens surface of a mask prior to use. Scubapro must ship its masks already cleaned and prepared. The plastic case used to store the mask has small clips to keep it closed. Both are already broken.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Sun-Sun
