This is my third battery powered pepper grinder. The first took a while but was difficult to load. The second was a piece of junk and never worked (took it back)! I love this mill. I didn't realize until I got it that you just have to turn it upside down to make it work? How cool is that? Grinding peppers by hand, especially amounts over a squirt, is difficult due to the arthritis in my hands. Adjusting the grind is relatively easy, but if you have to adjust it frequently, especially with finer grinds, it can be a little cumbersome. Conveniently, you need to remove the batteries, brush off the rest of the ground pepper and finely adjust, as the rest of the ground pepper doesn't allow you to fine-tune the grind. If you have to do this multiple times to get the consistency you want, I can see it hurts. That's not a problem for me, and as long as this coffee grinder works, I'm a happy girl! Great mill!
