Twinkley Winkly Blinkly

Live in Tampa, where bicycles are a vanishing mode of transportation. Survival depends on who sees you, and this is an essential part of the kit. For example, an intense, focused beam and an eye-catching flash. I took it for my wife's passenger. This is one of three taillights on your motorcycle. It flashes bright enough for daytime use. I use a PB Blinkey 7 with a red housing, reflector and 7 LEDs. The Blinkey 7 is good for dawn, dusk and night shots, but lacks the focused intensity of a superflash like a superflash suited to daytime flash mode. I use Eneloop Nimh. I ride my Blinkey 7 for over 40 hours, mostly in blink mode, between charges. Although the light burns much longer than 40 hours, its intensity gradually decreases as the BT is discharged. I'm assuming Superflash won't last as long, but will last longer than LiPo, USB-chargeable devices. I don't like that the light doesn't come with brackets/rack mounting hardware. , is required to avoid light losses. The plastic mount may deform to a position where the light exits the mount. I used rubber bands made from old tubes (they need to be cut and replaced frequently) to hold the light securely to the mount.
