First of all, I don't write reviews. But this thing was so lame for such a premium price. The noise cancellation is disappointing. It cancels out basic white noise, an open car window, some office chatter, nearby fans, but anything outside of that range goes through. If you're working from your home office and in another room, behind a closed door, a dog barks 20 feet away, the mic picks it up and doesn't even try to minimize it. If your door is open and someone in another room is speaking, it's actually amplified and it sounds like they're speaking straight into the mic on the same plane as you, with the damn thing strapped to your face. The noise cancellation, while disappointing, is still better than nothing. until you realize the sound quality sucks. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not good. AirPods sound a lot cleaner and more natural while clipping your upper and lower wavelengths, making your sound unnaturally compressed. Rubber earbuds (all three sizes) are rubbish, none of them fit ergonomically. I don't have particularly odd hearing and have never had a problem with $100 headphones or cheap random headphones. They're just not meant for the ears lol. You just put a rubber ear tip on the end. Communication with my desktop sucks. I can't seem to make a call for days without my computer losing connection 2 minutes into the call. If you have a Mac, the top bar icon will turn into a spinning beach ball if you hover over it half the time. The Plantronics Hub application needs to be constantly open and running to even use it, and this application also crashes frequently. picky, you should do your best to make sure the charging pins are actually touching. I wouldn't rely on it to charge your headset at all, just pop it in your pocket. I've been looking for these to replace my AirPods which have no noise canceling at all and often amplify any sound. I live in the city and when the sirens go on in the street I can hear them but it's not particularly distracting. On AirPods it amplifies to the point where it gets a lot louder and is very distracting to the person on the other end of the line. Also, and this happens to be AirPods, some of my friends don't have a problem as long as they have current-gen iPhones and brand new AirPods. But if I don't have them in my ear and a call comes in, I usually can't take them out of the case and sync them before the call is missed. PROS: In favor of Plantronics, instant syncing and call answering happens as soon as you put it in your ear. The battery life of AirPods gets shorter and shorter over time. After a year, the battery life is perhaps half as long as when it was delivered. I can't talk with this particular headset for a long time, but it's significantly longer than my AirPods at the moment and will get me through a full work day with over 6 hours of talk time. Overall, the base model's AirPods are vastly superior to this one. This works well when the quality of the sound isn't particularly important - just the sound *clarity*. If you are a factory mechanic and need to be heard for a few hours or a full 8 hour day. Besides that. They were very lame, and I suspect that white-label or no-brand $60 noise-cancelling headsets are probably just as good. Definitely far from 200โฌ worth. Update 1 month later: I thought they at least had good battery life, but I consistently don't get more than 2 hours of talk time out of them after a full charge. Can't recommend this. I can't believe how much this failed to deliver.
