This oval-shaped pot from Lodge is sturdy, with a cast-iron body topped with fired, pristine porcelain ceramic. The color is beautiful and the device arrived well packaged in perfect condition. However, please note that the underside of the handles are not enamelled as stated in the instruction manual. The bottom of the handles are cast iron so take care not to chip the enamel on the edges and cure the exposed cast iron surfaces on the bottom of the handles before using this pot. You must dry the bottom of the handles thoroughly after washing and keep them dry to avoid rusting. Overall this is a good quality product at a great price that cleans up well with hot water and liquid detergent and when baking on food use a little Bon Ami and hot water on a damp sponge to avoid scratching the glass surface. .
