I use them to upholster chairs and similar items. with staples that don't quite reach, that's the problem with the stapler, not the staples! When upholstering the chair, the staples didn't go all the way! I felt like it was forever, I figured I wasn't putting enough pressure on my stapler or the staples were the wrong size. Not on both. It was a stapler, it wasn't meant for the work I gave it. I switched to a pneumatic stapler and the staples came through just fine.
