They're smaller than expected but the cards are thick and glossy so they feel durable. This is a good gift for children and teenagers or even adults. You can use it as a study aid as some of the cards are illustrated and some have fact boxes. I was particularly pleased that personalities from the entire African diaspora such as Bob Marley, the Maroon Nanny and Toussaint L'Ouverture from the Caribbean were there. I look forward to the larger size and updated versions.
