I haven't had a problem with it opening too easily, but I'm not rough on the case. I have a similar case that opens about 150 degrees - and it's annoying. This case opens 180 degrees to lay flat! I have already ordered a third sleeve and will be storing ALL my cards (except MicroDrives) in it. It would be handy if I could order an empty case to use some of the extra earbuds, but that's not really a complaint, just a desire not to miss something useful (the "extra" earbuds).
