We live in a semi detached house with a fenced yard but it is not gated so we can't just let our dog run around in it. This is a Beagle, he goes nuts and will be blown away by the wind if something doesn't stop him! We wanted something he could enjoy being outside with without running away for a weird smell, so that's what we got. So far, so good. ! The anchor penetrates the ground easily, it is beautiful and durable. Our dog is 20 pounds and has no problem holding himself in place when he reaches the end of the leash. The leash is 20 feet long, allowing him to walk in a good spot. Spring weather and sniff his heart! I want to know he's safe without having to be on his usual 6ft leash. I think it's worth the price I paid. It was a good thing considering how happy my dog is running around in our garden and I have peace of mind that he is safe.
