As someone else noted, the dimensions are a bit different. But if you make it up to you, you'll be fine. I'm 5'11" and 215 pounds. I bought a similar shirt (rashguard) from Walmart at LG. I bought this XX shirt and it's actually cozier than the lg from walmart but it fits. Haven't worn it to class yet so can't comment on how well it's holding up (bought for BJJ).
