Review on 🔌 ELC T-1000 1000-Watt Voltage Converter Transformer - Step Up/Down - 110V/220V - Circuit Breaker Protection - 3-Year Warranty by Dustin Citizen

I'm an engineer from USA living in Europe. I have used this unit with my Heavy Duty Coffee Roaster, Vita Blend and several other applications. I bought this and another cheaper transformer (7 stars) here on Amazon. This transformer is of quite high quality and most importantly it doesn't get hot or make too much noise. However, there are 2 issues I had to deal with. Firstly, in my apartment here in Sweden, a fuse often blows or trips a switch in a distribution board when the transformer is first switched on. The circuit breakers here in Europe are very low current and trip easily here so this problem might not arise, but if it does then I need to disconnect something from the transformer, turn off all equipment on the same circuit and reset my circuit breaker. . Most likely, this is due to the fact that when the transformer is first switched on, there is a strong current surge. That's fine, but a better device should include some buffering to prevent house circuit breakers from tripping. The second issue is that the front 110V outlet failed after several months of heavy use with high-current applications. As another reviewer mentioned, this component seems prone to melting and failure. For me it's not a big problem as I can fix it easily, but for someone else it can be a real problem. I'm attaching a few photos so you can see the build quality for yourself. Better than others here but still had issues.
