Didn't know I had to hardwire this. This is not motion detection, just a remote control. I can't distinguish the sounds because they are muffled but very loud, there is no stop button so it goes on for a while. I bought this to scare squirrels and it works well with loud yelling. 2 tones are not muted and I have to unplug the device every time.
