Arginine is a common pre-workout ingredient. In your body, it breaks down into nitric oxide, which is a vasodilator and can give you a good pump. Try to take 1-2 grams before training. If you don't see a great effect, try increasing the dose. Arginine and citrulline work in the same way to increase nitric oxide levels, but citrulline works much more effectively. Most of the arginine is lost in the conversion to nitric oxide. Next time I will try citrulline.
