I like the light they put out. I didn't read the description well and would rather they were the single AA design as I have not had good luck with the 3 x AAA design but that's my own shortcoming. The other thing I don't really like about them is that they cycle through all the modes every time. The single AA design only goes to low beam and strobe when cycled from the primary mode in sequence. They reset after a bit and do not cycle through every mode every time when only the primary is used. No matter how long this model sits after primary mode is used, secondary and third mode must be cycled through to return to primary. But it's a minor "flaw", just irritating. If they hold up better than the other 3 x AAA models I've had they'll be just fine.
