Review on Mikrotik MT RBwAPR 2ND RouterBoard WAP by Stanislaw Wawrzynowi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

- I've been using the device for less than a month, so far it's set to the Internet. The router copes with its tasks with a bang - lte, nat, dhcp server :) - In the future, it is planned to use it as a backup communication channel at facilities with a connection to the central component (openvpn l2tp) with various types of installation, and that's where it should show itself. - They would release them half a year earlier, put these pieces of iron on 500 objects where a bunch of hex poe lite and a huawei usb modem are already mounted (a big disadvantage - you can’t mount it outside without additional hermoboxes)

Pros
  • - LTE supports all the bands I need: FDD 3,7,20, TDD 38 (a stone in the garden SXT LTE) - Support for 3.5G, 3G, 2G (another stone in the SXT LTE garden) - Possibility of outdoor installation -PoE - Router OS features - Built-in LTE antennas with a gain of 4.5 db (which is not enough for this class) - Ability to connect external antennas via sma - In general, the router keeps a much more stable connection with respect to USB "whistles" - Complete set: poe-adapter, torx key, two screws for fastening the cover (regular and with a secret), various fasteners, there is even a wire for connecting to 12v in the car. Etc
Cons
  • - Support only Passive PoE 24v, you will have to buy a 48-24v converter - Do not "screw" the LTE interface to the bridge, in other words - do not make a modem out of a piece of iron (doubtful drawback) - The presence of Wi-Fi (subjectively, in my case, a wireless interface is not needed) - Does not show RSSI value, may be corrected in ates (less significant indicator than RSRP, RSRQ, SINR)
