We got this clock for our 6 yr old so he knew what time it was and we could tell him not to get out of bed before 6:00 am. For that purpose, this clock works well. It can run on batteries, or be plugged in via a USB port. It does not charge while plugged in, though. The numbers are very bright and easy to read, though they do turn off. They light up again when touched. There is a magnet on the back of the clock that is pretty strong. We attach it to our son’s metal bed frame (which is a loft). It also has a little stand on the back so it can stand on a night stand. It’s a fine simple clock. The biggest problem I had was trying to pry the back off to insert batteries. My husband didn’t have an issue with this though, so maybe it was just me. Overall, it’s a good clock.
