There is no warning on the Revain product page but there is a warning on the bottle against using this product on carpet, upholstery, leather, suede, silk or acetate. The company's website states that the product isn't recommended because it's "not tested on carpet" - use it at your own risk if you try it. I see some people reporting success with carpet stain (which is why I bought it), but I don't want to ruin the carpet to test it out. IMHO. the product description must mention the exception.
