This is adorable and just what I wanted for my dog Max. I bought a small one and it fits my dachshund perfectly, but I have already replaced it and this time I will choose the XS. The Small is fine, but it's as snug as can be and there's still room to wiggle, so I think the XS would be a comfortable fit. I already have to replace it with no error or product defect. The bow consists of two parts: the main part with elastic loops that are worn over the collar sewn on the ends, and on top of this basic bow is a second bow sewn more in the middle to keep the ends of the bow free and protrude to give it the appearance of a bow tie. I didn't remove the collar when I took my dog to the outside cabin and I knew it was a bad idea. There was no one watching her, neither he nor his sister (most likely her since she is a real maniac) bit off the top bow. The collar is still cute and still has a bow because of the bottom bow, but I'm buying a second one because it's a lot cuter with that top bow. **Please ignore the mess in the photos, we had just installed the floors but they were still dirty and the baseboards had not been lowered. Both photos were taken before the top arch was torn off.
