That's what I think of when I think of wool socks. So-called merino wool socks are so tight that it looks like you're being tortured for being stupid enough to buy them. However, these socks are not tight at all. You won't end up with a ring around your lower calf at the end of the day. That doesn't mean they're free: they're just doing what you think you SHOULD be doing. As a side note, I would like to offer a personal opinion which is this: I don't think there is any other sock that goes so well with a pair of faded blue jeans. But again: de gustibus nondisputandum est.
