I bought these socks not knowing what to expect. Very happy with the quality. I bought them from 75% merino wool. Rinse them in cold water and dry them. Slightly shrunk, but that's not a problem. I used to buy similar socks from Cabella but had trouble finding them. I liked these socks and I will buy another set. The price is too high for me, but it's worth it. Another thing is the lack of a seam or a very slight seam in the toe area, which is very important for comfort. hope this helps you

I knit but don't have time to finish the socks I'm working on. This is a great substitute for homemade socks. Dense, warm, soft, well erased and dries. I wear them as bed socks and house socks with Birkenstock sandals. I don't wear them in hiking/regular boots or boots so I don't know how to wear them on the heels/toes. Unlike smartwool socks which are so tight they are always difficult to put on, these ripped wool socks are easy to put on and hold up. They're soft, warm and luxuriously comfortable in slippers and not too bulky for casual shoes. They don't itch which is great! Very comfortable socks, still new. I wash them in cold water and hang them to dry (there were no care instructions so I played it safe) and each time they seem to get smaller.
