I received the item 2 days ago and no instructions came but that was fine as the instructions were listed online with the item. I ordered a 27.5" piece 3/8" wide. I only had to remove about 0.5 inch and it was very easy to do. With kitchen scissors, I easily cut off an unnecessary piece. I removed the old seal from the shower door, cleaned and dried the door. The best way to install this part is to put it in place where the old one used to be. It took a bit of strength and movement, but once it was on one section it was easy to adapt to the rest of the door. It fits very snugly and works great. This keeps the door very watertight, which is great.
