Review on πŸ”§ HomDSim Chain Wrench: 12-inch Automotive Oil Fuel Filter Tool for Removal - Adjustable Pliers for 1.6" to 5.9" Diameter Filters by Richard Marriott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only key that worked.

I had to remove the oil filter from a Honda 750 Shadow. I've tried a regular box wrench, socket, and three-legged self-adjuster, but they all slipped off when turning. Piercing with a screwdriver was not possible because the top half of the horizontal filter was blocked by the frame and motor housing, restricting its rotation. I bought this chain wrench, adjusted it to the tightest link and it turned it without the slightest bit of slippage. Too aggressive to install a new filter but perfect for removing without fear of crumpling or crushing the filter housing.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I will add later
