There are times when it makes sense to buy an OEM part and this is a perfect example. Our Ford Focus had a rough and stumbling idle and I bought an aftermarket IAC to fix it. The aftermarket part worked fine - about 2 weeks - and then the problem returned. I should have known better. The second time I bought a part from Motorcraft. It works great and I'm sure it will last as long as the original (90,000 miles). This part is very easy to replace - unscrew the throttle cable fitting and slide it a little to one side. Remove the two screws that secure the IAC, attach the gasket and screw the new IAC back on. A 15 minute run and tremendous value for the Duratech 2.0 if you have trouble idling or stumbling.
