This girth seems very comfortable for my picky 12 year old mare. It is sensitive to leather straps, so I opted for a softer and more flexible PVC. I liked the buckle configuration on this model. She didn't mind at all as she pulled herself up. Your movements are not restricted. There is no sign of irritation. PVC is an improvement over old-school leather straps. As for durability, I don't know yet. However, at this price point, I'll keep it comfortable and replace when needed. Good product update I have been using this strap for six months now.
