This looked like the perfect harness for my husband's Arabian mare who seems to have chafing issues on long trips (25-50 miles). Unfortunately we couldn't use it because I didn't realize it didn't have a D-ring so we had to send it back. In the end we decided on the sheepskin Toklat. This girth seems very comfortable for my picky 12 year old mare. It is sensitive to leather straps, so I opted for a softer and more flexible PVC. I liked the buckle configuration on this model. She didn't mind at all as she pulled herself up. Your movements are not restricted. There is no sign of irritation. PVC is an improvement over old-school leather straps. As for durability, I don't know yet. However, at this price point, I'll keep it comfortable and replace when needed. Good product…
