Review on πŸ”Š Optimized Dayton Audio DC160-8 6.5-inch Classic Woofer by James Chandran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought as a replacement for the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 subwoofer driver.

Fits and sounds good. The outer diameter is slightly smaller than the original driver, so the speaker grille needs to be fixed with double-sided tape or something to reattach the speaker. This is due to the reduced diameter of the speaker's exterior as the speaker grille for the old driver blends into the surrounding background. As some others have said, this is not an exact copy of the Klipsch driver, but it holds up well. I've been running the driver slowly throughout the day, gradually increasing the volume, and now it sounds as good as the old driver. The reason for the exchange was a foam edge on the original driver itself, which I will fix sooner or later.
