Waterproof, saliva proof and durable, long battery life

The collar is made of nylon webbing, very strong, definitely more than strong enough to be used as a normal leash collar. to our 60 pound dog who loves to run around and pretend to be a sled dog. The battery lasts a long time, we charge it about once every two weeks and use it for a 30-45 minute walk every night. The electronics appear to be reasonably waterproof (our dog doesn't dive into a pool or ocean with the collar on, but judging by the design we reckon he'll do just fine in that environment - just wash off the salt afterwards, if the collar ends up in the ocean). The collar is also very resistant to saliva as dogs at the dog park are rude to one another and the collar will get covered in saliva from other dogs. The only thing we don't like about the collar is that the charging cable is proprietary, meaning it's not a standard micro-USB (nor USB-C) cable. So if you forget, lose, or damage your charging cable, you'll have to order a new one, and you won't be able to use any of the many micro-USB cables you probably have at home. We have a blue LED collar which is not as visible/bright as the green and red collars provided it is 1/2-1/3 brighter than red or green. The other dogs in the night playgroup are colored red, green, orange, and pink, and all are much easier to spot than blue collars, especially when the dogs are 100 feet or more away from you. We bought the blue primarily to differentiate ourselves from other dogs, but a more sensible choice would be green (the brightest and most visible) or red (the second brightest after green). Orange and pink collars are supplied by other manufacturers and match red in brightness. Overall we're happy with the collar, but the next ones we get will be green or red.
