Review on πŸ₯„ Norpro 3042 Grip-EZ Measuring Cups and Spoons, 12-Piece Set, White and Black by Nikki Brooks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Don't sit up straight when it's empty or even full.

My goal was to replace my 30 year old Tupperware measuring cup set, easy right? The three things I was looking for were accurate measurements, flat lids for easy fermentation when measuring dry ingredients, and since these jars are plastic these mugs fit right into the picture. I had to look for another requirement of being able to sit on the counter without tipping over. The handles on these mugs are so heavy that they tip over when you try to put them down. This makes it difficult to pour ingredients into cups. You should have one hand holding the cup and another hand handling the ingredients. I filled 1/4 cup with flour and it was still tipping over. This means once you measure an ingredient by hand, you can't put the glass down until you've emptied it. I never realized how many times I did this until I started using mugs that don't set the level. My wife said it would be difficult to find replacements for those old Tupperware mugs because the manufacturers don't think about design and functionality anymore. I think she was right. These mugs work but if the handles weren't so heavy that they sit flat they would be perfect. The spoons are fine, I took them and leveled the bottom of the grinder so they lay flat and don't wobble when sitting on the counter.
