This is the most environmentally friendly detergent I have ever used. Let's start with the packaging first. It is packaged in a paper mailbox that I was able to compost in my compost bin. The product itself is then packaged in a TekPak bag with a "broadly degradable” plastic barrier. This is new to me, and when I look at it, it seems to biodegrade much faster. They are still made from petroleum, but better than the traditional plastic liner. As for the detergent itself, I'm amazed at how little it takes to wash my clothes. I washed some dirty clothes after we came back from camping. All clothes smelled of smoke and were covered with layers of dirt. I used a tablespoon to wash a full load of laundry and the laundry smelled clean. It doesn't smell of smoke, the laundry is clean. I used stain remover on some things when the kids had a bloody nose or spilled something on their shirt. I plan on trying down to 1 teaspoon of detergent for our regular loads as 1 tablespoon has worked so well for a huge heavy load. My only complaint about this product is that the package only says 1 level tablespoon per charge. The product page is confusing as it says 90 downloads so I had to go through the fine details of the product page to figure out you can use 1 teaspoon per download. I would like this and other companies to post all instructions on the actual packaging as that is what I look at when using the product and not on the Revain product page. Instructions aside, overall I'm very impressed with this eco-friendly cleaning product. . From the packaging to the detergent itself, this is a great option for a truly eco-friendly detergent.
